A Vpster monthly box can be a bare OS or a one-click app. The app images install on Ubuntu or Debian. You still pay from the USD wallet. After the debit, access is instant — the same clock as a plain Linux deploy.
The app is software on the disk, not a separate product and not a managed host. You still get SSH and a dedicated IPv4. Root is yours. We do not log in to harden the panel, the CMS, or the containers for you.
cPanel & WHM needs 4 GB RAM. That starts at Core on the monthly list. The catalog blocks that image on Spark, Nano, and Starter. WordPress, Docker, Nextcloud, WireGuard, and n8n fit the usual monthly sizes.
What is on the catalog
The apps list is the same monthly cloud as a bare OS. Most apps install on Ubuntu 24.04. IceWM over XRDP uses Debian. The deploy wizard picks the base image. You do not pick Ubuntu “and then” the app as two products.
- WordPress, Docker, and Portainer
- Nextcloud and WireGuard
- cPanel & WHM on Core and above
Pick the app the way you pick an OS: city with IPv4 stock, plan that meets any RAM floor, then the image.
First login
The console shows IPv4, user, and password. Panel passwords and first-login steps arrive in that same mail and on the instance page. Change the OS password and any panel password on first login.
If the image opened 2083 or 2087 (or another panel port), restrict it if you do not want that service on the public address. The same is true of WordPress admin and a Docker API you did not mean to leave open.
A rebuild or change OS wipes the live disk, including WordPress uploads, Docker volumes, and panel configuration. Take a snapshot first, or copy those off, if you still want them.
Start from Apps or Deploy after the wallet has at least $20.
